Frequently Asked Question

Do I need CRM?

This is often a question of why do you need CRM and if you do then the solution will vary depending on your needs. We have built solutions for large retailers and for small businesses. There is no one size fits all. Let us understand why you think you need a CRM solution and we will advise you as to whether you do and if you do then how it may look.

My team said my website is no good.

We hear this a lot, team members often bring their preferences with them from a previous platform they are comfortable with. Don’t be so sure a new solution is required. We can provide an independant evaluation to let you know if you have issues with the platform or simply a training challenge.

I am not sure my marketing is working?

This is a challenge for a lot of people, Marketers are quick to spend more and not focus on the measurement. A great marketing plan is linked to outcomes and takes responsibility for the role it plays. If you are not sure then it is time to engage Probatio to help you understand if your return on marketing invested is appropriate.

Is the size of my team right?

Often I hear senior executives either saying they do not have the right size team or that their Marketing executives say they need more. Let us cut through the noise and explain what size team you need.

My Marketing is so expensive

If this is the case then you probably don’t have a clear understanding of where your money is being applied and how effective it is. Probatio believes in a scorched earth marketing plan each year. Nothing is sacred, and nothing is forgotten, meaning you learn from last year but build a completely new plan each year tied directly to outcomes.

Our website doesn't provide customers

My team says I need a website but our customers are direct. This is often the case I hear when a business asks for support with marketing. They will ask an expert and then tell the expert what works. The reality is that a website is a ticket to play these days. I don’t care if you make the largest transformers in the world for hydroelectrical power plants. You need a website and a quality website.

I can't find the right person.

The reality is that marketing is needed by everyone and unfortunately the amount of people versus the available position means you probably cannot be too picky. Does this mean you should settle? No. However, it does mean that you need to prioritise what is required as a starting skill set and what you are willing to train your team member in.

How much should I spend on marketing

This is a tough one because the amount varies depending on the type of business you are in and what stage are you at. E.g. A mature large organisation may use 3% of sales versus a new start may invest 12% or more. Let’s discuss your business

Do I need social media?

What business are you in? Technically anyone can use social media but a law firm may be better suited to LinkedIn and Twitter whereas a Guitar building company may prefer Instagram, Pinterest or FaceBook to name a few. Think about the following key points. What are your objectives, Inform, Inspire, interact or sell (just a few) Twitter as an example tends to be the domain of famous people imparting their knowledge, opinions or lifestyle to us; how or would you even try to use Twitter? Talk us through your requirements and we will help you make the right decision.

Should I be on TV, Radio or even Billboards?

This is definitely a coffee conversation as a starting point. The simple answer is that you need to ensure you have everything aligned prior to using a mass medium. Get the basics right, grab the low-hanging fruit and then aim for mass. If you feel you have to have mass marketing then you probably should sit down for that free coffee to talk through the detail.
